Client/Owner: City of Beaverton
Location: Beaverton, OR
Cost: $2,900,000 (Total Contract Value)

The foundation for the Summer Creek Bridge required installation of 16” diameter by 105’ long pipe piles to support the new structure.  The piles were installed using a Manitowoc 555 Crawler crane equipped with an Ape D50-32 Diesel Hammer.  The piling were first vibrated 30-40’ into the ground with an APE 200 Vibro-hammer, and then driven to final bearing with the D-50 hammer.  The project also required installation of approximately 400 LF of Z-Sheetpile which were 30’ long for the end bents.  These were necessary for fill retention and to prevent settlement.  These sheetpiles were also installed with the Manitowoc 555 Crawler Crane and the APE 200 Vibro-Hammer.
