This project included constructing six concrete structures and one steel structure.
The concrete structures included:
The four-span girder bridges were constructed over Snake Lake which required construction of approximately 750 LF of temporary trestle for construction access. The Snake Lake bridges were overlaid with fly ash modified concrete. The bridges were much more technically difficult than usual. The box girder skew resulted in long-span falsework openings with tight clearances. The bridge widening girder erections were the most difficult due to the necessity of setting up a pair of crawler cranes on an existing bridge with limited load capacity.
The steel structure was a 310’ long two-span plate girder bridge over SR16.
