Tenmile Creek Bridge was originally constructed in 1931. This reinforced concrete through-tied arch bridge is located approximately six miles south of Yachats. The bowstring main arch spans 120 feet and the total length is 180 feet. Work consisted of a complete cathodic protection system, new ornamental concrete railing, polyester overlay, shear lugs, concrete patching, tube railing and approach reconstruction. 100% containment was required for sand blasting and zinc application. Big Creek Bridge is identical to Tenmile and sustained some damage to the existing cathodic protection system from a fire. Work there involved concrete repairs, reapplying zinc and minor rewiring.
