This project consists of five bridges, eleven retaining walls, five privacy walls, one three sided culvert, asphaltic concrete, continuously reinforced concrete paving, and demolition of two existing bridges on I-5. The fly-over is a 2,066 foot long post-tensioned cast-in-place parabolic box girder bridge, consisting of ten spans. 3,433 m of 24” steel pipe pile are included in the foundation of this fly-over. In addition to the fly-over permanent pile, there were over 300 falsework piles, 40 piles for the detour structure, and 170 permanent piles for three separate structures, including a stay cable rod pedestrian bridge over I-5. In total more than 900 piles totaling over 45,000 LF in length were required.
